Located on the Huaihe-River Basin and in the mid-south of Henan province, Zhumadian is well known as "hinterland of Henan, centre of China". With a population of 400,000, it is rich in agriculture and mineral resources and an important national and provincial grain and oil production base. In 2006, it was selected as one of the Chinese cities with the most investment potential in the eyes of multinational corporations.

On June 13, 2008, CW signed Project Agreements with Zhumadian Bangye Water Company and established Zhumadian China Water Company. This company was granted the Concession Right to develop and operate water treatment facilities which supply water to the domestic and industry users in Zhumadian including the local industrial park.

Zhumadian CW has total water supply capacity of 120 Mld with water transmission and distribution pipelines of 422 km and 570 employees. At present a new water treatment plant with capacity of 100 Mld is at commissioning stage. The raw water is obtained from Banqiao-reservoir.

In July, 2008 Zhumadian CW successfully commenced its operations. Zhumadian CW aims to adopt the ISO 9001 quality management system. In addition the company will make improvements in various areas such as:
